The Leadership team met on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Here are the minutes:
ADMINISTRATION/BOARD/FINANCIAL UPDATE – Randy Ulseth
- Managers shared patient experiences and wins within departments.
- Approval by the Board on the building project subject to reducing costs up to 4 million
- Financing through USDA
- Community questions and topics are being developed to keep the public informed
- February was a good month, positive growth, expenses 2% under budget
HUMAN RESOURCE UPDATE – Kim Carlson
- Summer interns update – MHA will be sending out information in early May, 11 candidates applied
- MCE students – expanded to both semesters, 14 students total
- Halogen update – there are 12 people that still need to complete self evaluations – 18 have been completed
- Top Workplace Survey – emailed out 3/28 – runs for 2 weeks
- LDI – April 21st – Audubon Center, Sandstone – more details forthcoming
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS UPDATE – Jill Sawyer
- Statewide Exercise Drill – March 29th – Severe weather: surge capacity and community involvement. Incident Command System set up
OTHER
- Integrative Behavior Project – one of six hospitals/24 applications
- Update on Violence Prevention activities – very positive comments from nursing
- There are two referral specialist openings in Clinic
- LPN and RN positions are posted
- Food drive ends March 31st, Color my 5K – June 4th, Doctor’s Day – March 30th, traveling health fair in Pine City and Mora – 4/15 and 4/19
- In Focus – Dr. Mullin
- TNCC will be held here in April
- Update on staffing in Lab
- New time collection system this summer – it is web-based, Live 8/20/16
- Auxiliary donations include: Wheelchairs, Ped cart and Accuvein
- Recommendation to add a formal tour of the facility at the end of the day for new hires
- Updates on newly filled positions in the Business Office
- April 1st – Rycan conversion
- Patient Access Week – April
- Updates on newly hired NP’s.
- Diane presented an update on PFAC, Pine Tech Nursing Advisory Council, LTC, Home care shortage and SANE nurses support certification
