Thanks to these Goldie Classic volunteers!

Thank you to Danna Woods, Julie Ray, Karen Renaud and Melanie Bergstadt for volunteering at the Goldie Classic Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 10th.  FirstLight hosted a game that raised money for the American Cancer Society.

The game consisted of trying to chip a ball into toilet seats or a commode for the chance to win a Yeti cooler.  Everyone who played received a ticket in the drawing.  Those who chipped a ball in a toilet received extra tickets in the drawing.  SO MUCH FUN and a great way to promote getting your colonoscopy!

FirstLight employees donated a total of 225 POUNDS in school supplies to area students this year through our Build-A-Backpack program.  We squashed our last year’s total of 181pounds.

Thank you to everyone who donated to this cause.  A big thank you to Ronda Jannett for being the master organizer of this service event.

Thank you to the Mora Half Marathon/5k FLHS Water Stop Volunteers!

A BIG thank you for these employees that braved the weather on Saturday, August 20th to help at the FirstLight water stop!  Rhonda Felland, Marcee Nilson, June Juday, Shelly Kroschel, Sheila Peterson, Sandy Zutz-Wiczek and family, Brent Nihart and family, Angela Mann, Kim Tepley and family, and Deb Wright.

Although it was raining and a little chilly, we somehow had a blast.  The runners and spectators appreciated us as well.  At the very end while we were cleaning up, a gentleman stopped by and attempted to give a financial donation to help cover any expenses because he enjoyed the entertainment so much provided by our group and the event!

And kudos to our own Jen Peterson for organizing such a great community event!

Music in the Park

We will be at Music in the Park tomorrow Thursday, July 21st at 6:30pm serving lemonade in these cool color-changing cups!  (Don’t worry, it doesn’t change your beverage color; just the cup changes color.)

Music in the park is at the Mora Library Park, on Wood St. and Maple Ave.

I think we already have enough employees volunteering for this event but we might be able to use extra hands-1-2 more people- to help serve.  We will be serving from 6:30-about 7:15ish.  Let me know if interested.  Or just come on out and listen to some Bluegrass music and enjoy the evening!
