MyFitnessPal/Invest

Please see important information below regarding an upgrade to connectivity with MyFitnessPal for staff who are currently enrolled in the Invest Wellness program:

 The My Health Rewards portal will be upgrading the connection with MyFitnessPal on December 7, 2021 which requires all members using MyFitnessPal to reconnect in order to continue syncing data.  Both the My Health Rewards and Invest portals will have an announcement card this week with this information, along with a calendar event on 12/7 reminding member to reconnect MyFitnessPal to their account. On Dec. 7th a banner will display to all members on the devices & apps page notifying them to reconnect MyFitnessPal.  Self-serve articles have been created and are available in Zen Desk under the support tab in the portal and Virgin Pulse member services has been trained to assist members to reconnect.  Contact Virgin Pulse at medica.support@virginpulse.com or 1-833-450-4074 for support.    Below is a link to a PDF document explaining how to connect MyFitnessPal.

Safe Patient Handling

It is hard to believe we are almost to the half-year mark of 2021.  One of the goals for Safe Patient Handling in 2021 is to have 100% completion of the back safety module in Relias.   Now is a good time to start working on your annual education, if you have not already completed it.  As you progress through the back safety module think about your current work environment.  Do you know where the Safe Patient Handling Plan is located? Please follow the below path: J:\Depts_Shared\Public\Policies & Proc\Nursing-\General Policies\Safe Patient Handling (ID 1407).doc Do you know where the equipment and tools for patient handling are located in each area that you work?   Do you have suggestions for how to organize storage areas to allow for more efficient use of equipment?  Do you need a refresher on a lifting tool or equipment?   This is a great time to consider these questions.  The Safe Patient Handling Committee and your leaders are here to support you in providing a culture of safety.  If you are not familiar with who is representing your department on this committee, you can reach out to your leader.
