Background/Educations: I'm from Willmar, MN. For undergrad I attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with a minor in psychology. Currently, I am attending University of Jamestown, Physical Therapy program in Fargo, ND.

What are you excited about working at Welia Health? I have heard a lot of good things about FirstLight Health System from classmates and professors from my school. I am most looking forward to experiencing a new setting and getting to know and learn from the Rehab team.

What are your hobbies?: I love doing anything outdoors. In the summer I play sand volleyball, basketball, and run. In the winter I like to ski and figure skate. I also love to paint.

What are you excited about working at Welia Health? I am really excited to experience OT in a clinical setting with inpatient/outpatient. It will be really exciting to experience more hands on work with physical disabilities as learned throughout my program.

What are your hobbies?: I love to ride horses - I currently own 2. I have gotten out of riding competitively but I love to do it for leisure. I love to read. I love spending time outdoors (camping and hiking).

Background/Educations: I received my education for Medical Assisting in Palm Harbor, Florida at Central Florida Institute. I graduated in February 2006 and moved back to Minnesota to start my career. I worked at Aspen Medical Group which merged with Allina Health just after I started in 2007. I worked primarily in Internal Medicine but also did some cross training in Pediatrics and ENT. In February of 2016 I started working at North Suburban Family Physicians (Health Partners) in Family Practice and Urgent Care where I also freshened up on my laboratory and phlebotomy skills as the CMA is responsible for all blood draws and specimen collection including running all of the in house tests in the lab.

What are you excited about working at Welia Health? I'm excited to meet my new coworkers and learn new skills. I'm also excited to cut my commute in half.
