What is happening?

Beginning Thursday, September 20th, the construction area and fencing will be reconfigured to accommodate site work that will occur close to the current ED entrance and old helipad area.  This work is being done to tie in the new Hwy 65 entrance.  Work will begin at 7:00 a.m.

Public entrances into FirstLight are:

  • Clinic
  • Emergency Department

The sidewalk will be closed between the two.

NOTIFICATION #80- New Helipad: September 19, 2018

What is happening?

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19th, the new helipad (located on the north side) will be used instead of the existing helipad (in front of the building).  Patients incoming and incoming will be transported through the existing chiller room and down the facility operations hallway (or vice versa) (Click to see route highlighted on map).

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

  • Corridor #1600B will be closed for approximately 3-5 days to remove existing duct-work and reinstall ceiling.
  • Corridor #1600B is located down the Materials Management/old Facilities hallway. 
  • Please refer to the map below:

  • This work begins Thursday, September 6th

Construction notification August 10-17, 2018

What is happening?

  •  Starting at 6:00 am Friday (8/10), a construction team will be installing the maple trim around the opening at the Commons Stair on Level 1.  This work will take a few hours.  When finished, they will also install the pool countertop in the Rehab Pool tomorrow morning.
  • Beginning Monday morning (8/13), Heartland Glass will be here to replace a few items in the inpatient/ICU/Birthing Suite area:
      -Toilet Room mirrors in Rms 2830, 2848, 2841 -Toilet Room sliding doors in Rms 2850, 2824 and -Door lights in ICU Rms 2856, 2858, 2860

Notification #72 August 2-August 3, 2018

What is happening?

Barriers will installed beginning Thursday August 2, finishing on Friday August 3 so renovations can begin in the old Labor/Delivery (Maternity) area.  When construction of this area is complete, this will be the new infusion / chemo area.

Proposed hours of work will be 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Notification #74-August 6-August 8, 2018

What is happening?

The temporary ambulance drop off site and staff entrance will be having a trench drain installed beginning Monday, August 6th and completing August 8th.  This includes saw-cutting concrete, excavation of concrete and installation of the trench. 

Work will be suspended when access to the door is needed for emergency services.

Proposed hours of work:  7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Notification #73- august 15-August 17, 2018

What is happening?

Beginning Wednesday August 15 through Friday August 17th, crews will be removing the temporary countertops and replacing them with the the quart countertops and decorative glass tops in the HUC/Registration area and Care Team / Nursing areas in the SW addition.  (Refer to specific areas on map)

Construction Update: June 22, 2018

NOTICE to all staff about rehabilitation patient parking:

In an effort to assure we are providing the best patient experience, we are asking staff to please refrain from parking in the new section of the South lot just outside of the Rehabilitation gym.  These parking spaces are needed for Rehabilitation patients so that they can park as close to the new department as possible.
