Reason for Recognition? "To the FirstLight Nursing Department:

As the Medical Career Exploration students from Mora High School, we wanted to thank you for allowing us to shadow your department. We acquired such a wide variety of experiences thanks to you. All that you did for us will be sure to help us as we pursue careers in the medical field and we really appreciate it. We hope that you continue to participate in this program for the benefit of more students like us in the future.

Reason for Recognition? Hats off to Kathy Allen, Mindy Blood and Julie Larsin for obtaining an assignment of benefits signature from a patient for a previous hospital visit while the patient was in for a clinic visit. Without this consent we would not be able to bill the claim to the patient's insurance resulting in the loss of a $5100.00 claim. Their extra efforts are greatly appreciated.

Reason for Recognition? Showing such compassion and care for a patient and his wife. Walking the husband out to his car in a blizzard to make sure he got to his vehicle safe, and helping the wife into the car also.

You gave GREAT patient care with this couple and it was soooo heart warming to watch :)

Reason for Recognition? Alicen is truly a champion for our patients. She is diligent in getting them referred to the specialists and/or tests that have been ordered for them in a timely manner, always polite and with a smile on her face. A dedicated patient's advocate.
