Mask Drive

On behalf of the StarLight Committee, the following communication will be send out via social media:

Asking our communities for help! It’s going to be a rainy weekend which makes it the perfect time to get some sewing done!

Due to COVID-19 and the shortage on masks, we are reaching out to our community members to help ensure everyone that would like a mask in our community can have a sustainable option.

If you sew or have extra materials, we are following Allina’s guidelines for making homemade masks: https://www.allinahealth.org/-/media/allina-health/files/mask-sewing-how-to.pdf

Masks can be dropped off at any of the clinics (Mora, Hinckley and Pine City) in the labeled mask donation bins located outside the front entrances (maintenance will be sending overnight to Pine City and Hinckley).

Welia Health will sterilize all masks before distribution.

At this time we are requesting 500 masks to be made. Once we have been able to use and disperse this first batch we may be asking for more donations.

All questions can be directed to Chris Newton, Materials Management Manager at 320-225-3845. Thank you for helping your communities!
