Hospital Board – Randy Ulseth
- Marketing presentation by Dawn Plested
- CT Angiography presentation by Peggy Desanto
- Nominating committee update – new board members for 2012 are: Dr. Robert Musgrove, Teri Heggernes, Dr. Jack Schwinghamer
- A Succession Plan Policy and Procedure was reviewed and approved.
- CEO goals and accomplishments were reviewed.
Financial Update – David Amundson
- David presented the financials for October.
- Good job controlling operating expenses, we are below budget.
- David thanked managers for the timely completion of budgets.
- Areas to be looked at will be FTE’s, operating expenses and capital.
Human Resource Update/Kim Carlson
- Update on Press Ganey survey results. Managers are asked to encourage staff to complete the surveys by Monday, November 28th.
- Time for annual employee evaluations. Employees are to fill out self evaluations and managers complete employee evaluations.
- An additional process for managers and supervisors will be a 360 performance evaluation. Kim will be sending out information pertaining to this new process.
Quality Update/Ellen Ryan
- We continue to wait for our 3 day JCAHO survey which will include one day in the clinic setting. The survey will occur in the next two months.
Just Culture Education/Ellen Ryan/Kim Carlson
- Education on Procedural Rules and Unjustifiable Risk/Harm. Examples were provided with discussion on outcomes.
Other
- An ENT Surgeon, Dr. Matthew Patterson will be starting in December.
- An ED physician has signed and will start in July of 2012, Dr. Iwu.
- Pat Runquist provided information on our Premier and Fairview pricing agreements and the services they can provide.
- EDM phase II went live in October, the second part of phase II will go live in January.
- Sue Belford provided an update regarding smart phones and employees that have hospital email on them.
- Open enrollment for benefits continues through November 30th.
- Reminder for staff to complete annual online education by year end.
